Renault has certainly been busy recently, what with the small matter of buying and running its own F1 team, and now Renault have shared with MotorMartin that they are to round off their high-end range of vehicles with a brand new D-segment SUV, the new KOLEOS. Renault say that the new model will play a key role in their product offensive that has seen a record-breaking year with the introduction of 10 new vehicles across the world.
MotorMartin has been informed by Renault that the new KOLEOS has been designed and engineered with global appeal so that it can play a key role in boosting Renault’s international growth, including China where Renault opened a plant in Wuhan earlier this year. Indeed, a watch of the short films below, provided by Renault’s own YouTube channel show us some of the exterior and interior design journeys as well as some of the first driving impressions of the new KOLEOS:
The new Renault KOLEOS, we are told, has been designed to display both SUV capability and comfort which, when combined with dynamic French style, will deliver a blend of robust SUV design cues together with the refinement and features associated with large saloon cars. Quite an ambitious mixture I’m sure you’ll agree.
Boasting a powerful stance that Renault say sets it apart from its D-segment SUV rivals, provides a refined, comfortable interior that boasts record room for passengers. The new KOLEOS also delivers all-terrain ability while ensuring excellent ride and handling and stability.
It would certainly appear to MotorMartin that Renault could well be on to a winner with the new KOLEOS. Its smart looks and all round ability should appeal to the widest possible range of customers and provide Renault with a strong presence in the rapidly growing SUV market.
Where will you go?
