Peugeot 308 GTi By Peugeot Sport: Underneath The Radar.

The 308 GTi looks amazing, aside from the aluminium GTi door sill finishes, front wing and tailgate badges, there’s the large twin exhausts, black rear diffuser, a ride height lowered by 11mm, black radiator grille, sports front bumper skirts and a red lower bumper finisher. Looking at the GTi as a whole, it’s certainly a very impressive piece of hot hatch architecture. Climb inside and you’re in no doubt as to the origin of your car as up ahead you have Peugeot’s now iconic iCockpit with it’s new GTi twist. This includes vibrant red stitching which adorns the upholstery, door … Continue reading Peugeot 308 GTi By Peugeot Sport: Underneath The Radar.

Peugeot 308 GTi By Peugeot Sport THP 270: You’ve Got What It Takes

News: VOLKSWAGEN up! GTI IS NAMED BBC TOPGEAR MAGAZINE’S ‘POCKET ROCKET OF THE YEAR’

Volkswagen have explained to MotorMartin recently that even before its official UK debut, set for early 2018, the forthcoming up! GTI is already a winner – scooping the charismatic title of ‘Pocket Rocket of the Year’ from BBC TopGear Magazine. Describing the soon-to-be-launched smallest member of the GTI family, the BBC TopGear Magazine experts shared with MotorMartin that the up! was: “As unserious and playful a car as Volkswagen has made this decade.” Volkswagen are rightly proud of the littlest member of their hot hatch family, created, they say, as a tribute to the iconic original Golf GTI, and coming … Continue reading News: VOLKSWAGEN up! Peugeot 106 GTI: Point Me At The Sky

The following is a re-edit of a piece posted by MotorMartin on DriveTribe under The Junk Yard banner run by Tony Yates, perhaps better known as @Xinterceptor. The Peugeot 106 can easily be seen as the forgotten GTI, a car overshadowed by many but bettered by few, a car rather cruelly ignored and consigned to the hard shoulder of history as it’s prettier and better known rivals sail on past. But is it time to revisit this little gem of a car, to recapture some of the fizz that Peugeot hoped would capture the public’s imagination? A little history I … Continue reading Peugeot 106 GTI: Point Me At The Sky
