News: HONDA ENDURANCE RACING SETS SIGHTS ON 8 HOURS OF SLOVAKIA RING PODIUM

Fresh off the back of a second-place finish at the Le Mans 24 Heures Motos, the Honda Endurance Racing team arrived at the third round of the FIM Endurance World Championship in Slovakia last weekend (10-12 May), with the podium firmly in its sights. The 8-hour race took place place at the Slovakia Ring, situated near the country’s capital Bratislava. Following on from Race 1, Honda have explained to MotorMartin how Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team’s Leon Camier capped off a strong showing in Thailand with a sixth place finish at Chang International Circuit, while Jake Gagne was back in the points after taking fourteenth place on the CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2. In what was a hard fought battle out on the track, Leon Camier narrowly missed out on a debut podium with the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team, the Briton claiming a hard-fought fourth place in Race 1 of the Thai WorldSBK round after a stellar qualifying performance saw him start on the front row. It’s been confirmed to #MotorMartinRacing recently that American rider Jake Gagne will race alongside Leon Camier in the 2018 FIM Superbike World Championship for the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team. The season has only just finished but already Honda’s WSBK squad are back testing so that they can start next season on the front foot. Leon Camier has therefore completed his first-ever test with the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team at ‘Circuito de Jerez’ in southern Spain, in which he got to grips with the team’s Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 machine for the first time. News: TRIPLE M RACING STEPS UP TO WORLDSBK AS OFFICIAL HONDA SATELLITE TEAM IN 2018

Honda Motor Europe have shared with the motorcycling department of MotorMartin Towers that they are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with Triple M Racing to run a third Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 machine in the 2018 FIM Superbike World Championship. Triple M Racing will therefore be the satellite team of Honda in the upcoming edition of the series, which will be contested over thirteen rounds.
