As has been previously discussed on MotorMartin, Motorpoint have had a close and fruitful relationship with a friend of mine for a considerable number of years. Indeed, it’s safe to say that if Motorpoint don’t sell it then my colleague won’t buy it as they are his one stop shop when it comes to car replacement. It’s pleasing therefore to see the hard work of the Motorpoint team being rewarded with the continued expansion of their car selling business.

Moving forward Motorpoint has now officially opened its 9th and latest branch in the town of Birtley.

MotorMartin recently reported that Motorpoint has become the UK’s leading car supermarket and has been named as one of the Top 10 best performing mid-sized companies by the Sunday Times. Motor point has now officially begun welcoming customers through its doors this week after investing over £5m in recent months on the nine acre supersite in the North East creating a further opportunity for the public to experience it’s unique car buying experience.

The new Motorpoint at Birtley stocks a vast range of 500 new and nearly new low mileage cars onsite from 35 different manufacturers, with instant access to a further 4,500 cars in group stock – all of them available to drive away same day.

Conveniently located close to J63 of the A1, Motorpoint Birtley features extensive free parking, free Wi-Fi and a café open seven days a week. Customers have already been taking full advantage of Motorpoint’s ‘Free Breakfast Offer’ that is running between Friday and Sunday – helping themselves to one of its famous ‘Breakfast Butties’. A series of other activities are planning over the launch weekend including face painting and a balloon artist as well as a chance to win £250 worth of ‘Love to Shop’ vouchers.

Mark Carpenter, Managing Director of Motorpoint, shared the following information, “We’re absolutely thrilled to have finally opened our doors to the public in Birtley. It’s taken months of hard work to get this point but it’s definitely been worth it seeing so many people from the North East coming through the door already and experiencing for themselves Motorpoint’s award-winning combination of choice, value and service.”

The opening of Motorpoint Birtley forms part of its multi-million pound expansion programme and compliments its network of existing sites in Birmingham, Burnley, Chingford, Derby, Glasgow, Newport, Peterborough and Widnes. Motorpoint expects to sell 50,000 new and nearly new low mileage cars in 2015, saving customers close to £400m off new list price in the process.

MotorMartin is happy to spread the word of continued success for this friendly and helpful company as it strives to create a truly 21st century approach to matching cars to customer needs. Well done Motorpoint and here’s to further successes.
