Beaulieu and their Simply rallies have been an incredible success so far this year with MotorMartin reporting recently on Simply Jaguar, which occurred back a few months ago. And now news has arrived at MotorMartin Towers of the next one-make extravaganza in the beautiful setting of Beaulieu where it’s long been known that the New Forest would be the perfect terrain for Land Rovers to tour through on their way to Beaulieu’s fourth Simply Land Rover on Sunday 7th August.

Beaulieu have shared with MotorMartin that Simply Land Rover will be celebrating the legendary 4×4 and that this favourite event for off-road fans will attract Land Rovers and Range Rovers of every age, model and condition, from immaculate show-winners to rough-and-ready workhorses. Even more of a reason to get along.

The Simply Land Rover will give fans the opportunity to see crowd-pleasing early models in the diverse display in the grounds of the National Motor Museum, such as the classic leaf-sprung Series I, II and III. You can also expect to see later Counties and Defenders adapted to suit all manner of purposes, from family estates to tough commercial vehicles. Owners of versatile Range Rovers and capable Discoveries are also invited to park up in the event and enjoy the show.

As well as being able to look over some superb examples of the breed, for drivers who want to practice their off-road driving, they’ll also be the opportunity to try out Beaulieu’s own Forest Drive. Held in partnership with Land Rover Experience West Country, this separately charged feature will allow Land Rover owners to try out not only their vehicles but also their driving skills on the off-road course, while those without their own Land Rover can drive or ride in a Land Rover Experience vehicle. For more details, including prices and terms and conditions, visit https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/simply-land-rover/, it’ll be well worth your time.

As with the previous Simply Rallies, Visitors and participants will have the chance to vote for their favourite Land Rover of the rally in the People’s Choice Award. The owner of the most popular Land Rover will be presented with a commemorative Beaulieu trophy and an Autoglym prize, before leading a cavalcade through the attraction grounds.

It’s been confirmed to MotorMartin that tickets for rally participants, who will be displaying their Land Rover in the event, cost £10 an adult and £5 a child and can be bought on arrival at Beaulieu, or in advance online at www.beaulieu.co.uk/events. Entry into the Beaulieu parkland for participants is from 9.30am, when the Brabazon Restaurant will be serving hot and cold drinks and breakfast snacks. All other attraction visitors should enter Beaulieu through the Visitor Reception building, which is open from 10am.

For Land Rover clubs wishing to book a club stand, contact the Beaulieu Events team at least two weeks before the event on 01590 614614 or at events@beaulieu.co.uk. Please remember that friends who want to park up together at the show must all arrive together.
Once again, Beaulieu have have said that admission to the event includes entrance to the whole Beaulieu attraction, which certainly adds value and recommend that you don’t miss the National Motor Museum’s new Driving Change display, which explores motoring innovations, technology and safety throughout history and makes motoring predictions for the future. You can also visit On Screen Cars and the World of Top Gear, take a stroll around the Palace House which has been home to the Montagu family since 1538 and the 13th century Beaulieu Abbey and grounds so once you’ve had you fill of Land Rover fun there’s still plenty available to fill the rest of the day.

Simply Land Rover is just one event in Beaulieu’s 2016 Simply rally line-up, which also includes Simply Smart on November 13th. For the full list of Beaulieu events, see www.beaulieu.co.uk/events or follow @Beaulieu_Hants on Twitter, both of which, in MotorMartin’s opinion, are definitely worth doing.
