It’s always great to be able to report on good news so when it became clear that Kia’s Approved Used Car Programme had received yet another top accolade for its innovative approach to used cars, then MotorMartin was duty bound to find out more. Kia are clearly very pleased with the self and have shared with MotorMartin that since its launch in 2010, the programme has sold over 50,000 used cars through its network of 144 Used Approved dealers. Goodness me.
Parkers.co.uk has voted for the programme in their annual New Car Awards – aimed at bringing the best advice and information to customers wanting to buy a car.
Christofer Lloyd, Finance Editor at Parkers.co.uk commented to MotorMartin that, ‘Simply put, this is the manufacturer with the best scheme to find you an approved used car. All approved used Kias come with seven years’ warranty, plus a 60-day exchange policy and seven days’ free insurance.’
‘You also get 12 months’ UK and European breakdown cover and Kia will pay up to £500 to get your car through its MOT. This scheme applies to models under 18 months/18,000 miles old. This is why this was such a compelling prospect and an award winner.’
David McCluskey, National Used Vehicle Sales and Remarketing Manger explained to MotorMartin that, ‘Having the best new car warranty in the business wasn’t enough for us – we wanted to give used car buyers just the same security and peace of mind – winning this award proves that we consistently deliver on that promise.’
For those that don’t know, now well into its eighth year, the Approved Used Car Programe offers consumers the peace of mind of Kia’s seven-year warranty in a used car. Each car that is sold through a Kia Used Approved dealer has the warranty topped back up to seven years, as long as the car is under 18 months and 18,000 miles. Each car goes through an extensive 88 point check to ensure that it’s ‘as good as new’ before being put on sale, all of which equates to that all important peace of mind when buying. Invaluable.
