We love an award up here on the top floor of MotorMartin Towers, especially when it involves a perennial favourite such as Mitsubishi’s evergreen L200 Warrior, so when news arrived that the new Mitsubishi L200 Series 6 has been awarded ‘Pick-up of the Year’ at the Scottish Car of the Year (SCOTY) awards 2019, there was much celebration.
It’s been explained to MotorMartin how the annual awards, organised by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW) span 16 categories and recognise the most highly rated vehicles and automotive achievements of the year, with only the very best making the winners’ list.
