News: MITSUBISHI MOTORS’ APPROVED USED PROGRAMME ‘HIGHLY COMMENDED’ IN WHAT CAR? USED CAR AWARDS 2018

It’s award season in the motoring world so it was no surprise that Mitsubishi Motors in the UK were soon on the fax to MotorMartin Towers with the news that their Approved Used programme and national website have been ‘Highly Commended’ in the What Car? Used Car Awards 2018. Congratulations.

It’s been explained to MotorMartin that the leading automotive title’s annual awards celebrate the star buys of the used car market and the manufacturers who demonstrate best practice in helping customers to find their perfect pre-owned vehicle.

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK’s Approved Used programme and national website were ‘Highly Commended’ in the Best Used Car Scheme and Best Used Car Website categories.

The Mitsubishi Motors Approved Used programme, which was enhanced in 2016 to offer customers even greater benefits, won praise from What Car?’s expert judges on such factors as the duration of its warranty, comprehensive pre-sale checks, amount of complimentary breakdown cover and the age of eligible vehicles. In assisting used car buyers, the brand’s website was hailed for its ease of use, quality of information, appearance and functionality.

Alex Robbins, Used Cars Editor, What Car? shared with MotorMartin that: “Consumers are looking for peace of mind in an approved used car scheme, and that’s where Mitsubishi’s Approved Used scheme excels. Cars of up to 10 years of age and 100,000 miles qualify, which ensures the scheme is applicable even to older, more accessible models; what’s more, all cars are covered by at least a two-year warranty, assuming they aren’t already covered for that amount of time by Mitsubishi’s lengthy manufacturer warranty.”

“You get two years’ roadside assistance, too, as well the option to exchange your car within 30 days if you aren’t happy with it. Pleasingly, Mitsubishi also guarantees that all cars within its approved scheme will come with a full service history. All in all, it’s a comprehensive offering that makes buying an Approved Used Mitsubishi particularly attractive, and a worthy recipient of one of our ‘Highly Commended’ positions.”

In reference to the ‘Highly Commended’ status of the Mitsubishi Motors in the UK website, he added: “While Mitsubishi’s website might not have the flashy graphics of some of our other contenders here, its clarity and gentle colour palette make it appealing and easy on the eye.”

“What’s more, vehicle search is presented first and foremost when you first arrive, while the results delivered feature clear design and useful mouse-over elements to help you navigate through to the responsive, easy-to-read adverts. These not only contain large images but a useful amount of information on each car. In short, it’s a website that majors on simplicity and common sense, and it excels in both of those areas; for that reason, it takes one of our coveted ‘Highly Commended’ positions.”

Lance Bradley, Managing Director, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, explained to MotorMartin that: “We’re very pleased to see our Approved Used programme and website rated so highly by such a respected independent voice, which over many years has been the first port of call for drivers who are seeking advice on their next car. For some, buying a used vehicle can be quite a daunting process and we strive to provide customers with straightforward facilities that give them complete peace-of-mind and a great deal of choice.”

Under the heading “Because it’s New To You”, the Mitsubishi Approved Used programme offers a minimum two-year vehicle warranty with no mileage limitations and two years’ roadside assistance, providing 24-hour support for motoring emergencies in the UK and Europe. An Approved Used Mitsubishi will also benefit from free vehicle health checks for life, MOT protection cover, a 30-day vehicle exchange plan and a guaranteed service history.
