News: AWARD-WINNING PEUGEOT 2008 SUV RANGE GROWS WITH HIGH-SPEC ALLURE PREMIUM TRIM LEVEL

PEUGEOT have recently shared with MotorMartin that the award-winning PEUGEOT 2008 SUV is now available in high-specification Allure Premium trim level, with more than £1,400 of additional equipment over Allure trim at a price increase of just £800. Not bad then in MotorMartin’s opinion.

As a permanent range addition, the PEUGEOT 2008 SUV Allure Premium offers an array of interior and exterior enhancements. Based on Allure trim, Allure Premium brings a full roster of tech and connectivity including a 7” colour touchscreen with Connected 3D Satellite Navigation, voice control and TomTom live updates, as well as PEUGEOT Connect SOS & Assistance.

A standard Cielo panoramic glass roof with an electric blind and ambient lighting adds to the high-quality feel of the car’s widely praised interior, whilst the Oxford Black trim gives a feeling of sophistication on the inside. The car also benefits from PEUGEOT’s innovative i-Cockpit® with a trademark compact steering wheel trimmed in leather.

On the outside, colour-coded door mirrors and door handles; rear sports spoiler; front & rear scuff plates; wheel arch extensions and roof bars give the car a commanding road presence, while a colour reversing camera and rear parking aid offers assistance for those tight parking spaces.

Allure Premium trim is offered with two engines; the 1.2L PureTech 82 petrol and 1.6L BlueHDi 100. The three-cylinder 1.2L PureTech 82 petrol engine delivers strong performance and an impressive 57.6mpg on the combined cycle.

The 1.6L BlueHDi 100 is also a strong performer and uses unique technology to reduce nitrogen oxides by up to 90%, also removing 99.9% of particulates. The PEUGEOT 2008 SUV Allure Premium BlueHDi 100 can achieve 76.3mpg combined and CO2 emissions of just 97g/km. This engine also takes the versatile and adaptable Grip Control® functionality providing a choice of appropriate mode (Standard; Snow; Mud; Sand & ESP Off) for the surface you encounter. Using electronic components that are already installed in the car there is no extra weight added and therefore no excessive fuel consumption, unlike a traditional 4×4.

Mark Pickles, PEUGEOT UK Marketing Director, Explained to MotorMartin that: “The addition of the Allure Premium to the PEUGEOT 2008 SUV was a natural step after the success of the 208 Allure Premium, and offers SUV style, space and presence in a package that represents outstanding value for money.”

“For a small premium over the already generous Allure specification, customers will enjoy a host of luxury and technology enhancements which make owning and driving a PEUGEOT SUV thoroughly rewarding.”

The PEUGEOT 2008 SUV Allure Premium is available now in PEUGEOT Dealerships and via PEUGEOT Order Online where customers can configure and order their car online from start to finish.
