Kia is turning up the temperature this January with a pair of hot new special editions to rid buyers of the new year blues. Offering great value for money with a high level of standard specification, the Stonic ‘Mixx’ and Picanto ‘Wave’ models are available to order now from Kia showrooms.
Stonic ‘Mixx’ powered by 1.0 T-GDi engines

Kia’s popular Stonic range has been widened with a bright new highly-specified special edition model – the Stonic ‘Mixx’. Powered by a 1.0-litre T-GDi engine, developing 118bhp at 6,000rpm and 171Nm of torque between 1,500 and 4,000rpm, the Stonic ‘Mixx’ is finished in a particularly eye-catching combination of Clear White paintwork with an orange roof. Inside, unique black cloth and grey faux leather upholstery with orange accents is combined with a lower centre console and display screen surround finished in orange trim.
Standard equipment on the Stonic ‘Mixx’ includes 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, privacy glass for the rear windows and tailgate, a reversing camera system with dynamic guidelines, a D-cut perforated leather steering wheel, satin chrome interior door handles and a six-speaker audio system with 7.0-inch touchscreen display with DAB radio, RDS, MP3 compatibility and Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM. Bi-function projection headlights with static bending and LED daytime running lights deliver a stylish look, along with LED rear combination lights.
The Stonic ‘Mixx’ costs £18,200 when mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, with the seven-speed dual-clutch auto transmission priced at £19,200. The combined fuel economy figure for both the manual and DCT automatic is 46.3mpg (WLTP), while emitting 130 g/km of CO2 for the manual version and 120g/km with the DCT automatic transmission (NEDC 2.0). Acceleration to 60mph is achieved in 9.9 seconds for the manual and 10.2 seconds for the DCT automatic, with a top speed of 114 and 115mph, respectively.
Picanto ‘Wave’ priced at £11,895

Inspired by sunny beaches and blue skies, a hot new Picanto special edition is now on sale called the Picanto ‘Wave’. Powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine, developing 66bhp at 5,500rpm and 96Nm torque at 3,500rpm, the Picanto ‘Wave’ is finished in Celestial Blue premium paintwork with blue Denim-style cloth and faux leather upholstery.
Standard equipment includes 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, privacy glass for the rear windows and tailgate, a reversing camera system with dynamic guidelines, a six-speaker audio system with 7.0-inch touchscreen display with RDS and DAB radio, Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM with voice control and a wireless mobile phone charger. In addition, there are white accents to the lower centre console trim, air vents and door armrest, together with satin chrome interior door handles and a centre console that features a storage box and sliding armrest.
The Picanto ‘Wave’ costs £11,895 and has a five-speed manual transmission. Its combined fuel economy is 49.6mpg (WLTP) with CO2 emissions of 115g/km (NEDC 2.0). Acceleration to 60mph is achieved in 13.8 seconds, with a top speed of 100mph.
In keeping with every Kia, the new special editions models come with an industry leading seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty, subject to certain wear and tear conditions. The warranty is fully transferable should the car be sold before the time or mileage limits have been reached.
Also available are ‘Kia Care’ service plans, which have been developed to provide customers with a wide range of service plan options for any Kia model within the first seven years of the vehicle’s life – matching its industry-leading seven-year warranty.
The service plans include a comprehensive range of options including the original, traditional, first, third and fifth services plus those in between, but in addition a customer can now purchase services up to and including the seventh service which matches the full length of the warranty. The plans are available for all Kia owners and can be purchased at any point of ownership for cars up to five years old.
