Rather unsurprisingly, the MotorMartinClassics desk has been a hive of activity recently as news has arrived that modern classics from the nineties and young timers from the noughties to go head to head at CCA May sale at the Warwick Event Centre on the 25th May with classics from BMW, Porsche and a Lotus Carlton.
CCA are offering for sale two BMW M3s from different decades, a 1990s E30 and a 2003 M3 E46 from a private collection, a powerhouse from Vauxhall, the Lotus Carlton and a Porsche 911 Turbo S.
CCA have explained to MotorMartin how BMW’s M series are famed for their high performance and always generate huge interest when they come on the market. CCA are in the possession of two cars from two different eras being offered, the first a 1990 E30 left hand drive originally supplied to Germany and brought to the UK in 2005. Clearly this car has been cared for by its three previous owners and enjoyed with 120,000 miles on the clock and an extensive history file with a recent service at a BMW main dealer. Estimated at £34,000 to £38,000 this is one of the most topical modern classic saloons on the market in largely original condition.
From the noughties, a 2003 M3 E46 with 38,000 miles and one previous owner finished in Phoenix yellow and immaculately presented. Supplied with all the original books, main dealer stamped book and a recent service. Estimated at £24,000 to £28,000 this is a serious car for a serious collector.
The Lotus Carlton, a four door powerhouse from Vauxhall with the performance of contemporary sports cars, turned heads in the 90s when the car was launched. CCA have number 886, one of the 284 right hand drive Carltons made was sourced by the current vendor after a lengthy search. A 1993 model with 76,000 miles, this is a highly original car in Imperial Green and sparingly used in recent years. It comes with a comprehensive history file, service binder and assorted invoices. Estimated at £40,000 to £45,000 the car comes with a valid MOT.
Get ready for the summer with a 2003 Porsche 911 (996) Turbo S Cabriolet, cared for by an enthusiast since 2011. Presented in Basalt Black with 41,000 miles, the original books, stamped service record and serviced in October 2018. A seriously powerful car with a few upgrades, this car is ready for the summer and estimated at £36,000 to £42,000.
