Good grief, fans of MG Motor UK as we are up here on the top floor of MotorMartin Towers, it comes as a constant source of surprise how the more mainstream motoring press have not yet been turned onto MG’s mix of high specification and good value.
After all, it’s certainly no surprise to MotorMartin that MG, the UK’s fastest growing manufacturer, has smashed its yearly sales record, hitting five-figures for the first time since the brand re-entered the UK market. Famed for offering customers real value-for-money without compromising on specification or quality, the 10,000th MG, a ZS Exclusive in striking Arctic White, changed hands at Richmond MG in Southampton, Hampshire.
MG Motor UK have confirmed to MotorMartin that this landmark delivery reflects MG’s sustained expansion throughout 2018 and 2019, with the brand recording a staggering 24 months of consecutive year-on-year growth. The manufacturer remains firmly on track to achieve its Momentum & Growth mid-term plan. Adding two new models to its line-up this year, including the ground-breaking all-electric ZS EV and the All New MG HS flagship SUV, the marque has welcomed many first-time customers into the MG family. MG’s impressive growth is set to continue, with the brand committed to launch two new models in the next 12 months, as well as expanding its dealership network to 120 sites by the end of 2020.
Daniel Gregorious, Head of Sales & Marketing at MG, shared with MotorMartin recently that: “Achieving an annual sales figure of 10,000 cars for the very first time is a fantastic milestone for everyone involved with the brand, and it proves that our family-friendly line-up is becoming more and more popular across the country. Hitting this major landmark would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of our staff and hard-working dealerships, as well as our valued customers, who have seen how MG fits into their busy family lifestyles.”
And the immediate future? MG Motor UK have shared the following with MotorMartin:
